How an Incorrect Diagnoses of Mental Illness Can go Horribly Wrong
By TLB Contributor: Christina England
A few months ago, I wrote an article explaining how I had recently discovered that many cases of autism were being misdiagnosed as mental illness.

This month, I am going to explain, what can happen, when the so called, experts get it wrong.
Teenager Incorrectly Diagnosed with Schizophrenia
Its difficult to imagine how any professional could possibly get a diagnosis so terribly wrong but unbelievably it is happening more and more frequently.
In a recent email, one mother explained to me how this had happened to her son.
However, when I asked her for her permission to write about their experiences, I was told that I could but asked to keep the case anonymous for legal reasons.
She stated that:
As a young child, no one could have possibly predicted what kind of life lay ahead for our beautiful son.
When I asked her what she meant and what had happened to her son, she explained to me that:
As a teenager, her son had been incorrectly diagnosed with Schizophrenia and as a result of his diagnosis, he was given and injected with mind altering drugs for a condition that he never had in the first place.
Shocked, I asked her what she meant and what happened to her son. She told me that:
After being diagnosed incorrectly for many years, her son was eventually diagnosed with autism by a renowned expert.
However, it is what she told me next, that I found to be the most disturbing fact about this whole case. She told me that:
His diagnosis was only discovered after the mind altering and extremely dangerous drugs, which he had been taking for many years, had caused him to become extremely withdrawn and absolutely terrified of the outside world.
She continued that:
As a result, her son had been locked away for a total of thirty years, in a safe and secure hospital unit.
She explained that because of the mental capacity act, a subject I discussed in January 2024, she and her husband were prevented from seeing their son for thirty years.

Once again, this is yet more evidence of the mental capacity act, being applied incorrectly.
This is because the family were informed by the psychiatrists caring for their son, that he lacked the mental capacity to make an informed choice and that in their professional opinion, keeping him away from his family, was in his best interest.
However, is keeping any child away from their loving families, really in the best interest of the child? Or, are our children actually being medically kidnapped, to experiment on them with psychiatric drugs? I guess that we will never know the answer to that question.
Fortunately, after many years of fighting, the family referred to in this article, are now able to see their son, who over the years, has blossomed into a talented artist.
His mother told The Liberty Beacon that:
“…Our son entered the hospital at nineteen. He will be 50 this year. He has to remain there because it would be almost cruel to expect him to cope in the real world, One of the Lost Generation.
As for the Mental Capacity Act: psychiatrists manipulate it to suit their needs, rather than the patients.
It turns out that our son has a high IQ with no learning disability, so what we were told does not stack up.
The Yellow Ribbon that I tied onto a unit in our bathroom the day that he left us remains there, a symbol of hope, welcome and return.
Sadly, I know it will always be there, as our sons return to our family will never happen…”
I am sure that you will agree, the details of this case are truly shocking. However, this is the reality and this case highlights exactly what can happen to innocent families when the medical profession get it wrong.
